Who’s that pokemon! It’s KZ Saga. This all metal $20 KZ IEM is one that I was quite surprised with in a couple of ways, but let’s talk about it!
One aspect I was not surprised with was the unboxing. Quite lackluster overall, but nothing you haven’t already seen. Starlines, cable and paperwork.
But is what I’m seeing true? Is that a KZ IEM without tuning switches? Yes sir, the tuning switches have been eradicated from the Saga in place of a clean and smooth back. This all metal shell is something I haven’t seen since the KZ D-Fi (although they have done all metal shells between the D-Fi and Saga like the Vader). Absolute beauty and fits damn well too. Let’s not talk about the cable, though.
As for the sound, this is essentially a slightly upgrade version of their EDC Pro with better details, deeper bass and a warmer tone that makes it a more refined and inoffensive sounding set. I’d argue that this would replace the EDX Pro as my KZ basshead recommendation, but the EDX Pro costs 2 times less than this. Regardless, this is a well built and very fun sounding KZ that is moving away from their bright and sharp roots.
