I’ll save my full sound impressions for a future post as I want this to be short, but the AFUL Performer 5+2 is almost the exact same as the original Performer 5 when it comes to its strengths and flaws. The Performer 5 theoretically fantastic IEM from the graphs, but incoherency and a nasty BA timbre are what ruined the presentation and led me to prefer the cheaper and older Yume 2. 2 years later, the P5+2 improved upon the flaws that the P5 had, but fundamentally still exhibits the exact same flaws and cons I gave on my infamous Performer 5 review. Regardless, the Performer 5+2 is for people who liked the Performer 5 and enjoy that lean bass and sparkly but metallic treble.
