CCA DUO Impressions: BRINGING THE CLEAR IN CCA

  • September 2, 2023
  • kesobie
The Duo brings the Clean in CCA. Not only in its lineup, but in it’s literal namesake. Clear Concept Audio takes two dynamics into one lean and mean set. A rather rare sight nowadays with the emergence for balanced or u-shaped sets following Harman and the like, yet respectable in how it was presented. A perfect set for lean, female vocal and trebleheads on a budget that is fine with KZ’s usual barebones presentation. Just avoid the marketing at all costs, I guess.

TINHiFi C0, “ELF” Impressions: TINHIFI IS BACK!

On my first few hours of listening, I can confidently say that these are quite a fun and energetic set for those who like an intimate vocal presentation and a little bit of treble spice

KBEar KW1 Impressions: Elegantly Unhinged.

  • August 24, 2023
  • kesobie
The KW1 is confidently the Meze 99 classic in IEM form. On the outside, it shows itself as a classy, distinguished fellow. But deep down, this is a hard rocker sniffing powder down under. It’s a ludicrous amount of bass, probably too much. But I know for certain that someone out there with a desire for the dirtiest bass will adore this classy beast.

Tripowin x HBB Kailua Impressions: THE BAD BOY’S GOOD LUCK?

  • August 14, 2023
  • kesobie
All in all, this is undoubtedly one of my favorite sets to come out of the HBB-tuned family. Such a rich listening experience that those warm-heads or people who follow HBB closely will surely love. I’d even argue this is his best-tuned budget set, although I’m definitely in the minority for that due to my slight bias toward this style of bass tuning. It’s not perfect, however, all thanks to that awful cable and tips, but it’s close. Very close.

MOONDROP Chu 2 Impressions: CHU CHU HYPE TRAIN PART 2?

  • July 20, 2023
  • kesobie
"I was so tempted to put everything in this impression as I genuinely think there is a lot to talk about the Chu 2 in terms of the legacy that the OG Chu left and whether the former can live up to the latter. However, these two IEMs are fundamentally different from each other in terms of its tuning philosophy that ends up seeming like a different flavor more than an upgrade. Nonetheless, it's a good $20 set for those looking for a fun sound!"
